A Calgary Adventure: Zoo Days, Hotel Swims, and Winning Moments

This past weekend, I packed up the boys and we headed out to Calgary for a short but unforgettable trip. From the laughter of hotel pool splashes to the awe of roaming the zoo, it was a weekend full of special memories.

Our days were packed with adventure, but the kids’ favorite moments were simple: wandering the Calgary Zoo and checking out all the amazing animals, then coming back to our hotel for some pool time. There’s something about watching the boys laugh and splash that makes even the busiest days feel effortless and joyful.

A Special Visit to Devon & Lang

One of the highlights of our trip was stopping by Devon & Lang. We got a behind-the-scenes tour of their warehouse, which was as fascinating as it was inspiring. And yes—we all left with a new pair of comfortable underwear (and some packed away for hubby too). It was a fun, lighthearted moment that reminded me why collaborations and supporting small, thoughtful brands are so important.

Sparked Creativity at Telus Spark

Another unforgettable stop was Telus Spark, the perfect setting for all the kiddos included, where we met up with our friends from Sewn. We made an exciting official announcement: we’re collaborating! Seeing our brands come together, combining creativity and passion, felt like a full-circle moment. The boys loved exploring the hands-on exhibits while I soaked in the thrill of launching a new chapter for Anastasia’s Bedroom.

A Trip Full of Winning Moments

From start to finish, this trip was about family, fun, and inspiration. We celebrated small victories, created lasting memories, and had more than a few highlight-of-the-week moments along the way.

It’s trips like these that remind me why I love building Anastasia’s Bedroom: the people, the experiences, and the joy that comes from connecting creativity with real life—and including my kids in the process so they can see connections being made and the magic of connections firsthand.
